I must confess that I have a strong love (errrr….maybe addiction) for sweets!! No day is complete without eating something to curb and satisfy my sweet tooth. That is why I became extremely excited when Grace, who is a Health Coach and works at Lululemon- Shops Around Lenox in Atlanta, GA, contacted me to see if we would be interested in contributing to a clean eating challenge called Drop TheDirty for 30.
Ummmmm YEAH! Not only is Lululemon www.lululemon.com the manufacturer of my favorite athletic apparel, but this challenge would allow for me to focus on my personal, as well as my family’s clean eating goals, promote NaturAlmond and showcase clean and healthy recipes using the 4 flavors of almond butter! Sounds like a “win-win” to me and something that I will have fun doing!
So what does this 30 day clean eating challenge entail? Well it is quite simple, as there are only five rules! Thank goodness, because I can’t remember much more these days!
- 1.Eat only whole foods
- 2.Eliminate refined sugar (yup, this is where I am going to struggle!)
- 3.Limit dairy consumption
- 4.Drink 2 liters of water per day
- 5.Sweat once a day
I am making the commitment, not only to drop the dirty for 30, but to also use this month to experiment and create more recipes using NaturAlmond almond butter….from savory to sweet, that can be eaten throughout the day. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, snacks and happy hour will be redefined!! (YES! Since this is not a cleanse, I can still drink wine in moderation!!)
Fortunately, Caitlin, our awesome friend and recipe developer who writes the blog, http://barbellsandbites.blogspot.com has been busy in the kitchen these past few weeks and we are excited to share with you what we have created!
