Nut Butters and Gut Health!

Happy Thursday, friends! We are excited to share this weeks newsletter, which focuses on gut health! With medical studies linking gut health to the immune system, mood, mental health, autoimmune diseases, endocrine disorders, skin conditions, cancer and so much more, it is no secret that an unhealthy gut can be catastrophic to your overall health!

Georgia Grinders products are centered around high quality, carefully sourced nuts that pack a punch when it comes to nutritional value. Nuts are high in minerals, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties AND dietary fiber. Because they are high in fiber, they can also help promote regularity when it comes to our GI tracks. Nuts are packed with omega-3s, which can help improve our overall digestion. They can also help slow down sugar absorption into the bloodstream. After all, eating a diet filled with healthy fats (i.e. nut butters) is extremely beneficial for our digestive systems. Lucky for us, these gut healthy ingredients taste delicious, too!

We are grateful that Bethany is a big fan of our premium nut butters and that she chooses to include them in many of her delicious recipes. Check out her recipe for Grain Free Honey Pecan Bread below using our Pecan Butter. If you haven't had our Pecan Butter before, it only has two ingredients: slow roasted pecans grown by 5th generation farmers in Georgia and a touch of sea salt. It definitely fits Bethany's criteria when she selects her favorite products -- clean and simple, with minimal ingredients.

Grain Free Honey Pecan Bread

1 tsp baking soda
1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
4 eggs
1 cup of Georgia Grinder's Pecan Butter

Topping: (optional – but recommended!)
Pecan pieces
Unsweetened roasted coconut butter
Raw honey

1. In a large bowl, add baking soda and apple cider vinegar and let fizz.
2. Add eggs and mix with an electric mixer until eggs fluff (about 2-3 minutes).
3. Next, add Georgia Grinder's Pecan Butter and continue mixing.
4. Line a standard sized bread loaf pan with parchment paper and pour in batter.
5. Top with pecan pieces and bake at 350 F. for 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
6. Drizzle entire loaf with melted coconut butter and raw honey.
*Best to freeze the bread before drizzling so the coconut butter hardens immediately, then stored loaf in the fridge.
